the answer is A the M2 in option B remain unchanged it's because the Cp increase M1 therefore increase by $20000 but the Ds decrease hence M2 unchanged the M2 in option C also remain unchanged because the Ds decrease by $30000 but at the same time current account increase by $30000 therefore no change in money supply In option D there's no change in M2 because deposits in RLB is counted in M3 but not in M2 2009-04-04 23:25:36 補充: It's because after paying the loans the Cp decrease by $10000. But the amount that bank received is not included in money supply of HK because there's insufficient information about where the loans go.
